Locked In

I wanted to create a space where you feel so comfortable that you just want to lock yourself inside and don’t want to leave it. This is my goal in each of my projects.
I divided the space through a very special fireplace into two rooms.
I called the first part of my space “Stay”.
A dining room you just want to stay in. How do you feel when you see it?

I will now share a bit of insight from this actually very complex dining room with you. Let’s talk about patterns, movement, unification and comfort … Look closely at the combination of the geometric pattern of the chairs with this wonderful fabric , which is actually a vertical stripe. To the horror of my upholsterer, I decided to combine it and make an inverted V shape on the back of this round chair and leave it as a vertical stripe on the side side. I wanted to add movement to the space, so I chose an impressive geometric pattern for the door panels that is based on rounded shapes

What is the secret when mixing geometries or other drawings? Well, if you want to mix patterns, they should have similarities within them. In this case it’s the color and texture, as well as the decision to add a vertical black oak frame to the doors. It is also important that you never forget to take into account the other fabrics or textures that you are going to have in a room. In this case, I opted for an off-white for the interior of the chairs with a perfect finish by adding a cord to mark the union of the two chair fabrics, and again think about the enveloping effect of the room. I chose a blank xstone piece for the tabletop to add light, elegance, and uniformity to the space. The wonderful lighting that is round and enveloping, the moldings, the linen napkins and the wonderful glassware did the rest. The fireplace is a WAW Collection lamp that simulates water, it was presented for the first time in Spain and has won the German Design Award 2021.

PS: Never forget to add flowers to your table to make it cozy and welcoming. I think dried flowers can be a great option too.
